The Name YESHUA

This article is written for the glory of YESHUA our Savior.

Many things will be restored soon, to be more accurate, it is better to say "All Things will be restored.

In what stage of this restoration are we? we don’t know exactly but one thing we know, it is necessary to open our hearts for the Lord to do a new thing in us, for Him to remove what He wants to remove and replace with what he wants to replace, we don’t want to resist the work that the Lord wants to do in us, and we cannot say that we don’t need that work.

I want to start with a well-known verse from the New Covenant book.

And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name YESHUA, for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21 LITV)

This word was spoken to Yosef by and angel, as we may know Yosef was a Jewish man, we know also he spoke the Hebrew and/or Aramaic language of that time, the name that was spoken by the angel to Yosef and to Miriam (Luke 1:31) was no other name but the name YESHUA (four Hebrew or Aramaic Letters) as can be read in the Aramaic Peshitta and even in the Hebrew Matthew Manuscript that is in the British Library or even in an ancient mosaic in the land of Israel today.

Dear brethren "this is" the Most Powerful Name in all creation! All Power and Authority is in that Precious, Beautiful and Holy Name.

Now, in the Hebrew language the second part of the verse of Matthew 1:21 is full of meaning and it is the explanation of why His name will be what it is, let’s see.

… you shall call His name YESHUA, for He shall save …

… YESHUA, for He shall save …

This in Hebrew sounds.

… YESHUA ki hu yoshia …

… YESHUA ki (for) hu (He) yoshia (Shall save) …

This revelation from the Hebrew brings real meaning to why His name is YESHUA, it is because "Hu yoshia" He shall save. In other languages that meaning is not kept because there is no relation between the name we use and the word salvation, but the Lord established that relation in His original Word by what the angel spoke to Yosef (Josef), and the importance of this connection cannot be dismissed. "The reason why He is called YESHUA is because He shall save".

The beautiful name YESHUA in the Hebrew language has a meaning like most names in the Scriptures have, a meaning but not just any meaning, a meaning put by the Lord in the name and that can bring many revelations to us. In Hebrew many names are composed of two and even three words, some examples are Emanuel (God with us), Yaacob (folower), Biniamin (son of my right hand).

The translations of those names can be different because a name is not really a sentence but an abbreviation. The name YESHUA can mean also more than one sentence, all of them are valid and have meaning.

In the name YESHUA the first letter is "yod" that letter is for Yhuh (The LORD in most versions), the rest is for salvation.

YESHUA is Yah or Yhuh Saves, Elohim/God Salvation, Salvation (more meanings can be added).

This is a Name not only full of power but also full of meaning.

All the meaning in the Name YESHUA are a praise by itself, bringing glory to the Lord, then when you call upon YESHUA you are worshiping the Lord just by pronouncing His name.

The authority to change, translate, or transliterate the Name above all names was not given to us. Because many have learned the name in their mother tongue it may be hard or painful to change the way we say His name.

Even so, the Lord was very merciful with us and the transliteration of the name YESHUA was a powerful weapon that we received. We saw miracles and signs when we were using transliterations of the Name YESHUA, and yes the Lord heard all our prayers nobody can deny that, but we are coming to a time of restoration whether we like it or not and His name also will be restored, and believe me, it will be better for us if this is done quickly and easily.

Some brothers have been showing some connection between pagan Greek gods with some transliteration of the name YESHUA to different languages, just think about this, if there is any connection with pagan gods, it is certainly offensive to call the one that we love so much in a way that reminds Him of Greek gods, we don’t want to offend the Lord, do we? Not even by mistake or ignorance. Yes there are different positions and some brethren are not sure about what position to take.

I can tell you something, it is safe to call Him YESHUA. Amen.

Also think that we always prefer to be called in the way we are called in our mother tongue, it is more special and nicer to us. I submit to you that for the Lord also is nicer if we will call Him in the way His name sounds in His language. We want Him to feel good; he is also our best friend.

Years ago when I discovered the precious name of YESHUA and his meanings and connection with the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38).

I feel so full of joy and I promised to the Lord that I would never call upon Him again in a transliterated way, to my surprise a few hours later I broke my word, and I couldn’t understand why. Then, after praying, the Lord showed me the way to pray to keep my promise so I made the following proclamation.

"Lord, I renounce to call you again jesus and I do it in the name of YESHUA"

From that moment on never again did I call, even by mistake, on the Lord in any other way but YESHUA, when I pray or worship.

And I discovered by this proclamation, that the Name YESHUA is really powerful, that’s why I use Capitols when I wrote it down, there is no name in all creation, in all the Scriptures, in all the books of the earth and of heaven above that Glorious Name of YESHUA forever.

I did a similar proclamation when I started to call Him Messiah instead of the Greek way with the same deliverance over me as a result.

A year before I wrote this document I had some contact with a Messianic group where I was told that the real name of YESHUA was YAHU'SHUAH. They have said the name in Hebrew has six letters in it and for different reasons as time passed by the name was changed. Something happened to me when I was told this, during those few days I couldn’t remember some words that I received before and even some messages I had written, where I explained about the code that was found in Isaiah 53. Like with a mantle of deception, I was blinded to remember. I went in to prayer asking the Lord for an answer.

After a few days the Lord set me free and I could remember the words and I will share them with you here.

"And all the earth will know that My name is YESHUA"

"The heavenly hosts are marching and they are marching in the name of YESHUA"

The Lord mentioned to me His Name in these two occasions and heard it very clearly, YESHUA.

Then I was told that the reason I heard that name was because that was the name I knew and that the Lord will always use a word that we know, to talk to us. But later I remembered that once, I received a sentence from the Lord with a name in it that I never heard before.

After this I remembered that in the Bible Code, in Isaiah chapter 53, the first code found by His grace through brother Yacov Rambsel was the following sentence. "YESHUA Shmi Oz " in English "My name (is) YESHUA Powerful" four letters for YESHUA in Hebrew, Yod, Shin, Vav, Ahyn!

I had the opportunity hear brother Yacov Rambsel sharing how the Lord in a supernatural way led him one day to Isaiah filthy three verse ten, the eleven word, the fourth letter and then told him to count backwards to find His Name there. (for more read the book YESHUA written by Yacov Rambsel)

After all of these confirmations I can safely share with you that His Name is YESHUA.

Any other Hebrew version of the name of the Messiah is nothing more than the meaning of that name. As it has been explained before, this name, like many others has many similar meanings but they are not The Name.

When the good news reached the pagan peoples many started to build statues and pictures of what they still think is the Lord, they bow down and worship them and call them by a name. These statues are called by the Word of Elohim "idols". By the Grace of Elohim they were not using the real name of the Lord, even more; these pagan people rejected the Hebrew name of the Lord. This was really Elohim’s plan, because the Lord doesn’t like His name to be profaned, we see in Ezekiel.

But I had pity for My holy name which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, there where they went.

(Ezekiel 36:21 LITV)

Finally I’d like to share with you two things.

In all the histories of the Tanach (Old Covenant), we can see that nobody had the name Yeshua. If we do a search in the Hebrew Tanach, we will find this four letter name written in Hebrew about 13 times but curiously only in four books, the book of Ezra, Nehemiah, 1 and 2 Chronicles very similar books.

These four books were written Aramaic Language originally for the same group of scribes that came back from Babel and translated to Hebrew!

They wrongly translated the name Yoshua (5 Hebrew Letters) into Yeshua (4 Letters), compare Esdras 3:2 and Zachariah 6:11 both verses refer to Yoshua the son of Josedech but the Hebrew Tanach uses two different names the correct name in Zachariah and the wrong name in Ezra because in Ezra the name was mistranslated to Hebrew from the Aramaic as Yeshua.

Nobody was called Yeshua before YESHUA and after him. Even in the case there is writings that attribute to a person the four same Hebrew letters of the Name Above all names, the pronunciation must had been different. In Hebrew most vowels were not in the text and the letter Shin in YESHUA can have two different sounds. There are at least 7 different ways of pronouncing this four letters name in Hebrew.

And the last point, there is not even one statue in the world with the name Yeshua because YESHUA is not an idol it is the Name of Elohim.

And the One sitting on the throne said, Behold! I make all things new (Revelation 21:5a LITV)

Note: Unless otherwise indicated the verses from the Bible are in "light blue" and taken from the translation called "The King James Version 1769", the literal translations are in "dark blue", the Name YESHUA has been kept in his original Hebrew form, the Greek word Christos has been kept as Messiah his real meaning.

(*) The expression "the LORD" has been kept also in his original form of four Hebrew letters, in English Yhuh where "U" is a "long U", this is the transliteration of the Hebrew letter "Vav", that YESHUA in His big mercy has revealed to us was the old way of pronouncing.
